Leak Detection

We perform leak detection and repair in aquatic exhibits, life support systems and tanks.  Whether driven by water conservation or corrosion control; leak detection and repair can be a complex problem requiring experience in waterproofing, materials, construction and working underwater.

Our engineered approach enables us to diagnose a problem before we prescribe or try to implement a fix.  We have experience with leaking tanks as well as leaks into building envelopes.

Moisture intrusion into a building envelope has many negative effects.  Pascoe has the capability to locate leaks and engineer repairs using intelligent materials and methods.

Underwater leak repair in an exhibit tank using pneumatic tools and very low viscosity hydrophilic resins.  These materials are inert after they come in contact with water and cure to seal the leaks.  Repair to mechanical systems and coatings include some of the likely fixes as well.	Leak repair in an exhibit tank, after finding the leaks in this turtle exhibit; we drained it, recaulked and waterproofed the tank in one day.  Leaks from the tank had caused damage to some of the display area beneath the tank and left puddles on the floor where the public walked.

Once leaks in tanks are identified and quantified, we use a variety of materials and techniques to repair them.  From sealant and joint repair to injection resins, we have a multitude of tools available to repair leaking tanks and exhibits.
